Ultraviolet light has long been used to disinfect and sterilize surfaces. UVAS (also marketed under the name Tru-D) takes advantage of recent technological advances using a narrow, highly germicidal band of light to provide safe and reliable decontamination doses in almost any indoor setting. UVAS scans the room and adjusts the dose to the area being treated.

Using measured reflected doses, UVAS even treats areas not in direct line-of-sight to the device.

While the room should unoccupied during the treatment cycle, it can be reentered immediately after UVAS has finished its cycle. The entire operation is controlled by a wireless remote.

UVAS (shown above with its protective cover) is a mobile, fully automated room decontamination tool. Once positioned in a room, the device is activated by a wireless remote control. The device automatically determines the room’s darkest area based on a reflected dose of ultraviolet light and calculates the required duration of a given intensity to obtain a bactericidal dose of UV light. Optional motion detectors are available to monitor the area on a full 360 degree radius to ensure safe operation. Once the cycle is completed, the device leaves no harmful residue or vapors. The room is immediately available for occupancy. UVAS uses no expendables, no harsh chemicals, and can be powered with any 110 volt wall plug.
